Download and install critical driver, BIOS, and firmware updates from Lenovo

No longer displays error 1061 when we can’t stop the “Intel Management and Security Status” service. It will be disabled after the next reboot.
Updated the pre-requisite Lenovo System Update to version 5.07.0096
Now reconfigures applicable Intel Wireless LAN Driver packages to use Microsoft’s newer driver installer

  • Check hardware compatibility
  • Abort the installation if Lenovo System Update is running
  • Install the prerequisite: Lenovo System Update
  • Disable the collection of usage data
  • Disable Lenovo Offers
  • Download updates from Lenovo
    • Select only critical drivers, BIOS, and firmware
  • Reconfigure the BIOS and firmware installers for unattended installation, only if AC power is available
  • Suppress the installation of Intel PROSet
  • For older Intel WiFi devices, convert deprecated dpinst installations to pnputil
  • Suppress the BitLocker recovery prompt during the next reboot, only on BitLocker protected systems
    • The BitLocker recovery prompt is often triggered by BIOS updates
  • Install updates
  • Disable Intel Management and Security Status
